I'm in the market for a new standalone DVD player and was wondering if anyone knew of any UK sites that listed which players could be easily cracked for multi-region playing??

This months DVD buyer (not sure of the exact name, red cover) has details of the ones that have secret menues that can be accessed by the remote to change the regional settings. They haven't cracked the sony or panisonic ones yet.

If your looking to buy, one of the better systems, check out http://www.linkonline.co.uk
They sell most of them, cheaper than on the highstreet and they are already upgraded. You can still get extended warrantly too. I bought a Sony DAV-S300 from them, they are £550 in the sony shop, and they sold it for £499 region free. It's great ![]() |
