Well- after the Christmas excitement, sat down to watch TV last night and realised what a gap SCD has left.

I think we should have some sort of dancing show for the professionals. Not bothered about a competition or 'celebs' but I would like to see a well produced and filmed dance programme.

Hiya! Im new to these forums...and i completely agree! What am i supposed to do with my saturday nights now? I think a programme with the proffessional dancers would be brilliant, i was lookin at the tv guide and misread 'world darts ' as 'world dance'...was very disappointed!!!!!!

If you're desparate for a reality TV fix, there is JTTOU, 'Celeb' BB, or Soapstar Superstar. Only if you're desparate mind.

Dancing on Ice will fill the gap (sort of) when it begins on the 20th of Jan.

Mark and Karen have been there, and Nicole was sat next to Karen on the first show.

JTToU is compelling in a very strange fashion, I will never be able to listen to Maneater again without what happened last night popping into my head

High hopes lots of the SCD crew will be there tonight, including Maren

I was just singing that, and then I stopped when I realised why! I think he should make a guest appearance for Emma and Darren, singing for their tango.

No I'm not that desperate Dave. I watched a few minutes of these others but I felt they were really poor.I liked ITT too and miss Claudia's dottiness.I shall just go on feeling bereaved.
It's a good idea to show the Championships Tewie- why dont they?

Watching Michael Parkinsons 10 Best Entertainers (or whatever ) I really loved the Fred Astaire clips and was so impressed with the way you could see it all.I complained like mad about the SCD camerawork to no avail-lets hope it improves for next year.I LIKE seeing the mistakes too.

I have never, ever watched Big Brother - celebrity or otherwise! I did watch DOI which is OK except for Phillip Schofield's shouting!

The only one I like is SCD and prior to that the first series of Pop Idol.

Anyway they aren't reality shows, are they?

Oh .......................

I thought that too when I did finally watch last night's offering .

I am scarred for life by it and was forced to watch Ramps dancing as an antidote.
Ao someone said on GMR ,was there singing on An Audience wth Mark Ramprakash on Friday Night ?

Mssing SCD so much :it is 3 weeks since the AT , the TV event of 2006 , if not the decade .

Perhaps it is time for the return of the Real Come Dancing?
It did get a bit tedious with the North west/Home counties competition thing .
But a revival might do well, if they could find a good presenter.
Especially as I remember it in black & white - not great for the dresses.
I'd prefer it to football too.

I'll bet that was a 'tactical' decision by the BBC.
