Was I the only one who had to mute my TV by the end of it? Poor Jocelyn

I wouldn't have called his singing entertainment though.

And yes no one let Vernon anywhere SCD. Prefer old Brucie anyday!

Missing SCD like mad. The other 'reality' shows don't really do it for me. Though I do love Apprentice which is starting soon. Might give Dancing on Ice a proper go - mainly for T & D though. From the bits I saw last year it did seem okay but lacked the magic of SCD. But perhaps that's the ITV factor as much as anything.

JTTOU is simply awful. Am struggling to think of more annoying presenters than Tess and Vernon - perhaps Davina? However am sticking with it purely to see the lovely Karen and Mark and to support our Brendan.

Please not Davina - in anything - ever!!

If we are going to talk about annoying presenters what about Natasha Kaplinsky, there's something about her I just can't take to.

Aled Jones to replace Bruce, yeah why not. How do you think he'd gell with Tess

Ardunnol also suggested Aled, I'd love to see him hosting SCD, if and when Brucie retires, I think he's lovely. As for with Tess...hmm..How bout replacing her as well?

Oh I agree.
Anyone who has been anywhere near BB should be banned from Strictly .

Davina's show bombed on the BBC too.

Aled will be fine with Tess , or with any attractive lady for that matter .He really is lovely and really likes a pretty lady !!

Have you seen his wife ? Claire Fossett, her father and uncle owned Fossett Bros Circus and she was a trapeze artist before becoming an air stewardess for Virgin Her mum runs Blackpool Tower Ballroom . He met her when he was playing Joseph in Blackpool.

I think Strictly is so good because every week so is different. The talent, the different dances, you have music. One week Peter can suprise you by doing a really good waltz then the next week an awful samba, but entertaining. You also get a great mix of personalities from the dancers and celebs.

Peter's Samba was this years' Dennis Paso.

Aled would be an excellent choice to replace Brucie. Hadn't thought of it before. I have suggested Jamie Theakston or Graham Norton elsewhere, but Aled gets my vote. What about replacing (pleasssssse!) Tess with Zoe Ball?

I saw Zoe on Soapstar Superstar this evening and she was very good, I was not at all keen on her on Strictly where I thought she had way too much nervous energy. I don't mind Tess at all in her current position but if she was goign to be replaced Zoe would do a good job I reckon

Peter's samba was better! Not a better dance but that it made me PMSL a whole lot more

Definitely not Graham .Why ?? well SCD is called camp in the press all the time and Graham might make it more so .
I don't care for his style of presenting and I would find it hard to watch him , and so I would have to miss SCD altogether as Hubby will not have him on at all .!

Bruce is so good because he has the right background in entertainment , and he has dance experience .
Aled would be an absolute natural.

[quote=Strictly_tewie]i was LMAO at john last night singing maneater agree will never be able to hear that again without laughing!
[quote]

The poor song has had a double whammy in my house. We went to the panto in Glasgow on Thursday, and Widow Twankey gave a virtuoso peformance, starting off something like:

'Well hey, all youse, I'm Widow Twan-key
I'll wash your knickers if they're man-ky"

I thought there wasn't much John could do to it after that...

I was wrong....

PMSL

Another vote for Aled here, perhaps with Zoe and his calmness would counteract her nervous energy (plus I've met her several times and she's really lovely so I'm bias)

The trouble is that even if Zoe is lovely- and I'm sure she is--some presenters suffer a sea change in front of the camera, becoming raucous and/or talking to the viewers as if they are several sequins short of a ball dress.

We need someone with charm ,intelligence & wit....yes to Aled....cant think of a woman!
