Watching Man U vs the Villa on BBC1, at half time Lineker commented on how it was good to have Peter back with them, as he had been busy doing stuff like this. They then showed a montage of Peter's best bits, and a few bad bits. Then Linekar suggessted Hansen and Shearer had signed up for the show, and Peter said Hansen should go on, and he would make the call when he got home! There was a tad more banter, but that was the gist of it.

But Alan Hansen is still a very fit man. Look at Dennis Taylor last year, he had retired from playing snooker. He stuck around a few weeks

I don't think Hansen will bring much to the show tbh. I think he's a bit too removed from the show angle of things.

I think his latin dancing would be interesting viewing

Alan Hansen YES YES YES

I think it would be wonderful to have him on the show although he does seem a bit of a cool customer when he's with Lineker et al but if Karen could get Mark to 'feel the rhythm' so to speak, then I'm sure the same could be done with Mr Hansen. He's very suave and in a tux would be very James Bond like, I can see him partnered with a classy, sophisticated dancer like Flavia or Camilla, although Camilla would be a better match height-wise. I'm sure Arlene would agree with me!
