Hi all

I bought a PVR80 back in the autumn and took it back because of numerous problems. Argos gave me a replacement which works better... except whenever i watch a BBC channel the date resets itself to Friday 17th April!!

This is most annoying as none of the timers i set for BBC programmes work, and the EPG doesn't work from BBC channels! If I change the channel to ITV1 etc the date resets to normal. This suggests some kind of weird transmitter problem, but this was one thing the old box didn't do! any ideas?

Hi Andy, don't know where you live but in East Devon right now I'm getting the same problem on a Humax box, seems to be a problem with the local BBC transmitter (Stockland). I've emailed them but no reaction so far.

Yep, this will be the transmitter, i had a problem with this once, and skipping on Channel 4's channels. Phoned up Channel 4 and they had got Waltham to fix it within 24 hours.
Suggest you ring the BBC, should get is sorted.

I live in exeter and I think I'm on stockland as well, so glad its not just me! wanted to make sure it wasn't just bad luck with dodgy boxes. Thanks guys

The Beeb have acknowledged my email and said they have had several reports of this problem. (But no fix so far)
