Might work, it is also the word he uses to describe coming onto dance!

For the logo on the front: Three entwined, twirly font letters : GMR

Slogan on the back: HAAH (I like *thud* too - or 9,10,10,10)

Colour Black with white (being his suit colours) or Black and Gold (being the Salsa colours)

Now in my mind I'm picturing 'Oh yeah!' on the front (lovely reminder of when he got the VW right on the Thursday before competition night) and thud on the back!

We might need to be careful about GMR as is the BBC local radio station in Greater Manchester! Love the colour way suggestion black/gold.

So many lovely Markie phrases to choose from. All those sentences that began "I'm a cricketer..".

How about "I'm a cricketer..." on the front then "oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah" of "thud" on the back?

What I had in mind was to take a photo and have my designer friend in NYC work on the photo so it looks cool, fresh and funky. Whilst the image will still be clearly the celeb/dancer it's supposed to be, it will be more artistic and less obvious. A straight screen print of a photo is quite boring really and isn't very cool in my book.

I was also thinking slogan shirt wise going down the 'Frankie Says Relax' approach in terms of design style (anyone who doesn't get what I mean by this style, ask someone who was a teenager or older in the 80s). It would be quite a retro looking shirt and be cheaper to produce. Retro stuff is certainly in vogue at the moment and the 80's revival isn't going anywhere in a hurry... thoughts?!?!

Sorry but I wouldn't want any kind of photo no matter how it's rejigged I find them a bit 13 year old spice girls fan, you also have to respect the celeb and I couldn't any of them being comfortable with the idea.

Also the writing I would personally find the Frankie Says Relax style to big and bold I would want subtle,

I am guessing the market would be mostly female and I myself would want something a lot more femine.

Sorry but you did ask for thoughts!

I love the idea of "oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!"

HAAH while funny in its way also seems a little bit sick considering the source......... the affair etc... maybe that's just me. I like the fruitcake slogan lol

I'd go for either something a bit subtle and feminine that I'd actually wear, or something more of a t-shirt that I'd probably use as nightclothes! Not a huge t-shirt-with-stuff-on-wearer.

Though of course they'd be good if arranging to meet fellow GMRers!

Picture thing - if a photo was done suitably artified and smaller as on a pocket (without the pocket) or maybe on the sleeve, would that satisfy more tastes??

I like the idea of a couple of different classic slogans as appropriate... say a short one like "*thud* would go well on a shirtsleeve just in small writing - humorous to those in the know. But I don't know if that'd be a bit ambitious on the printing/finance front.

I agree with you about HAAH.... Fruitcake was the best I could come up with.

We have had a few runs of T shirts done for wearing to various Aled concerts .We've never asked his permission and never used a picture , stuck to slogans

I think slogans would be a better idea overall .

"Sometimes my body is not my own " NO?

Sorry to be stupid, but what does HAAH stand for? Love the idea of cryptic slogan though...

Phew!

I thought fruitcake was hilarious!

Photowise, if we were to do it, small arty and subtle would be the Way Forward IMO... Once upon a time I'd've offered to do a black and white painting or charcoal from a screencap but I'm too out of practice I think. And I'm not sure how the copyright thing works. I think slogans etc would be safe - after all he doesn't have cpyright to "oh yeah x3"... yet, anyway!!

LOL!

I really do like the idea of a few different and more-or-less cryptic slogans... a good giggle at an in joke every time you wear the shirt
