That's disingenuous.
I expect this to be comparable in reliability, resilience and battery life to a typical Pocket PC, not a mobile phone, and should be treated as such, especially considering the huge vulnerable screen.
If you want to stick a Nokia 5140 in yer pocket instead, that's fine.
But let's not start saying the iPhone's unreliable before it's released, yes?”
I'm comparing Apple products. I clearly have no idea how bad the I-Phone is going to be. Just as much as people on here have no idea how good it's going to be (no matter how enthusiastically people are convinced by a proto and a presentation done by Apple!).
You bring up an interesting point that Pocket PCs should be expected to have less resilience. But wouldn't you use it MORE than a phone? So shouldn't it be designed to a HIGHER standard than a phone, since you're MORE likely to drop it, spill a drink on it, etc? Issues and questions that come up everyday

Having a large screen is no excuse for poor reliability... the general public shouldn't be forgiving and sympathetic mechancial engineers, though it would be nice if they were!
And I have not ONCE said it's going to be unreliable. I just said I'm interested. If you can find any point I have suggested otherwise, please point it out to me and I will aplogise accordingly.
