soon isn't it - hope Alan doesn't make the same mistake as last time and choose the blonde totty with the sob story over a clearly more suitable and capable candidate

Just read that the Apprentice is set to return on the 21st February 2007! The new series will be shown on BBC One for the first time due to the success of Series Two.

I wish the BBC would not move popular programes from BBC 2 too BBC 1 !

I know it makes no real difference and is just simply another channel but for some reason it really bothers me! - lol

I want the programes i watch to feel special and interesting , and them type of programes belong on BBC 2 !

Strange rant over!

I like The Apprentice and I'm looking forward to it, although I won't be taking it seriously like I did for the 2nd series, because the people who go on are now aiming for TV careers instead of business ones

So has it nearly all been filmed already?

I don't like that feeling

I hope they've picked better people for this series. Didn't Sir Alan say he won't do another series if the quality of the candidates doesn't improve? Really looking forward to it though

Apparently the show has been filmed already as Sir Alan Sugar, his Rolls-Royce 'AMS 1' and a group of contestants were seen during filming outside the 'Lloyds of London' building in Lime Street and also several contestants dressed as gorillas in London Zoo. These may be the first two challenges the contestants will have to complete in the first few weeks of the series.

Didn't the contestants appear on QVC a while ago - last Summer?

well done love, but someone who was actually interested in doing the job could have won while you're sitting there on Celebrity Scissorhands

Dolly -we don't really know the reasons behind Michelle & SAS's falling out - I suspect her getting pregnant by Sayeed & then miscarrying may have had something to do with it.
Also I'm not sure the job SAS finally gave her was really all that - she was a very hard working high-flyer in her own right remember.
I suspect 'The Badger' would probably not have hung around long either for much the same reason.

This is a good point actually, the current job and it's £100k salary is nowhere near good enough for a truely great Apprentice. I have a slightly above average job in london and although I don't earn £100k there is no way I would give up my job for a one in 12 chance at that kind of job. Anyone working for themselves would be better advised to continue doing so as if they have the talent to win the apprenticve they should have the talent to make way more than £100k a year. Does anyone know the salary for the US winners?

I believe the USA winners get a million dollar contract, approx. £550,000 by recent exchange rates. I might be wrong though.

Difference being in the USA the trump organisation is largely successful while amstrad, and the other links alan sugar has? not so successful

The US version is far far bigger, to the point of Trump trying to trademark 'Your Fired'..which he'll never get away with

US version is just generally on a bigger scale. Sir Alan has them renting flats...Trump has them designing new coke bottles, arranging NYC 2012 Olympic bids (great success )

Its all scale. I enjoy both, but I prefer the vain, bitchy and more interesting US contestants and until they both left, Trump involved his fellow judges more

the only problem i have with the US Version is the constant Product Placements..

its just OTT, a nice mixture with some of the UK Tasks with some of the US tasks would be perfect

It'd probably be the same here though if it was ITV or Four who were broadcasting the series

Whereas Ruth Badger was on "The Big Idea" so she clearly wanted to carry on trying to get into the business world as opposed to being on tv.....oh, hang on.....
