What happens when the BBC show the US version on BBC2? Do they edit out as much of the product placement as they can?

I too hope that the prospective employees are not all looking for tv careers this time around.
If the badger is sooo good at business blah blah blah, why the hell is she appearing on tv shows left, right and centre? In fact if she's so f-ing brilliant, why hasn't she got her own company? Same goes for Michelle and Sayeed. It just goes to show you can get a TV career from anything. A guy from local TV channel interviewed me the other day about public transport in the area...maybe I can bring out an autobiography!? Can't wait for the series though!

I think the Celeb version for Comic Relief is first so it's probably the date for that.
The Apprentice UK is the best programme on UK TV. |

![]() Yes, I remember something about that too. The quality of the candidates between series 1 and series 2 was very noticeable. Obviously, there were exceptions, but as others have said, I did get the feeling, as per other "reality" type shows that after the first series, the participants are really hoping for a bigger prize than the show itself offers. I'm also looking forward to it, but I'm concerned with the tweaks BBC One have made just so they attract a bigger audience.

I personally believe that Michelle has unfairly had a lot of stick over certain things which have happened since she won the show. As for TV careers, I think you have to look at the bigger picture - after they appear on the show, they'll have offers coming in regardless - it's the same with all these shows. In the case of Paul from series 1, despite offering him a job, SAS actually advised him to follow the TV path for a while before making a final decision about his future. Besides, most, if not all "reality" stars fizzle away soon enough, although I still agree that the chance or desire for a TV career shouldn't be the motivation behind doing such a programme.

The Apprentice 3 (UK)
Does anyone know when this is due to start? Loved the first, thought the second was alright and am curious to see what they do with the third.

I'm a bit wary that this series will completely lose the business ethic of series one (and to some extent series two, although it had already been diluted by that point) and opt for the normal "shock" reality style of tosh like Big Brother et al.
I hope this doesn't happen, but I fear that it will - especially with the show moving to BBC One. However, this might mean that if there's then a fourth series, Sir Alan won't take part in it - and (in my opinion) that'd damage (if not ruin) the programme.

AND that the eventual winner doesn't "Do a Michelle." |

They probably wrapped up filming by the end of October last year. It always seems to be done in August/September time. I'm just going through series 1 + 2 in the meantime! I never saw 1 on TV and I think Saira is great!

***Countdown To The Apprentice 3****
Yes! Well we should all know by now that the now well-known business enterpreneur event of the year is back on our screens in a few weeks' time.
But before the 14 contestants enter the Dog Eat Dog world as the series kicks off, let's start a countdown to the show, to get the hype and the fever going. This is also the best place to post urgent and important pre-Apprentice news as to what is to come. So: 14 contestant, 1 house, 1 winner, 1 job. The Apprentice 3 is back on the BBC, but with a change of Channel: It will air on Wednesday 21st February at 9pm, but on BBC1, not 2, so this is not only going to be mainstream, but bigger than ever before... If this series runs for the usual 12 weeks, it will finish airing on Wednesday 9th May, with an interview afterwards at 10pm with the winner and the runner-up. All other elimination interviews will follow the same format too. So, 20 Days to Go!

19 Days!
Yes, the Series 3 is getting even closer than ever with 19 days left to spare, meaning 19 days left to live before Sir Alan takes over our lives this Spring!
The Comic Relief version is starting in March, being aired at the same time as Series 3, but will run for a week or 2. Besides, the original version will be the best! |
