I had no problems with my w800i in regard to putting songs on it with the disc to phone software, but now I have the k800i it just own't work. I have installed the PC Suite and new Disc 2 Phone, but everytime I connect my phone to the computer using the USB cable it says there is a network cable unplugged...on the disc 2 phone it just says Insert Memory Stick Or USB Cable...therefore I can't put any songs on. What the hell is going on with it cos it is really frustrating me! Any help will be appreciated

Is that disc to phone the sony software? I have never used their software for the K750i or the K800i because its useless.

Make sure all the drivers for the K800 are installed then plug in using the cable and on the phone set it to "file Transfer" go to "my coputer" and the phone will show up on there. Open it and you can drag and drop all your music pictures and other files into the folders you wan't.

Might be, can't remember it on the disc, but I only installed the drivers for my phone. If it is, it won't work with the K series phone.

Yeah the disc2phone program was especially designed for the Walkman series of phones and will not run on any other series of Sony Ericsson Phone.

it's not working

How do I know if all the right stuff is installed? And how do I get rid of all the drivers to start again cos I think that might be the best option. Sorry about this but I am not the best with computers when it starts to get all technical.

I had that problem. I fixed it by putting the phone into file transfer mode and going into add new hardware while having the instillation disc in.

My current issue is sending over short mp3 files which come out sounding garbled on the phone itself.

Ah I've got it sorted now, just can't play protected files on it but I suppose there can be nothing done about that

Make it a point to not buy anything with protection in the future!! Its a big rip-off.
