That's where I've been but it's a bit quiet these days. We've had to sack the bouncers.

Holly makes Tess look intelligent.
Would hate to see the equivalent of the 'skate-off' in SCD, mainly because the judges can be biased at times. The DOI judges don't seem quite so bad, though there was a love-fest for Bonnie last year.

Preach on! I often find myself wondering if every series of SCD leads to a critical shortage of tumbleweed all across the Arizona plain.

A shame really, because he can be very good without the "lever-it-in-with-a-crowbar" humour. I wish he'd get rid of that wig and the disturbing moustache though.

Watched the whole thing on Sunday and Claire looks as if she's going to be great. But the costumes. Not a patch on the SCD ones. But it keeps us going for a few weeks anyway.

Did anyone read a thread somewhere about a Eurovision Dance Contest in late summer? That should keep us amused as well until October.

But I wish they hadn't cancelled Strictly Dance Fever

Preaching to the converted here too!! Not a fan of Bruce (scripted Bruce anyway - he's much better when he's ad-libbing). Hate the way that segments with the dancers or judges are cut short sometimes due to lack of time, yet there is ALWAYS time for one of Bruce's embarrassing jokes.

Glad to see that DOI haven't employed the same gag writer for Pip Schofield.

Back to letching on the GMR thread....

Hehe! nice one carnivalist!
Another SCD addict here! I enjoyed last year's DOI too although I have to agree, it isn't SCD and the costumes are awful
But I am hooked I'm afraid because of the legends that are Torvill & Dean.

Although I really do enjoy SCD (The costumes are terriffic but, both presenters annoy me!), for me, DOI is more enjoyable as I think it has more of a 'challenge' element to it. That and the fact that Torvill and Dean are in it! ( Though I think if T&D happened to appear on any other programme other than DOI I'd enjoy that more aswell! lol!! ) Still it's a nice alternetive to DOI and I'm looking forward to the next series

Don't use words like "reins" to our Fi...... you can't unleash her dominatrix-like tendencies on the poor unsuspecting DOI fans

Hurrah! When I'm Prime Minister that's my first decree - compulsory de-wigging of all slebs!

Am also on from SCD - supporting the rugby player this time - but may spare a glance at Duncan's chest....

Hi cc - fancy seeing you here!

I'm supporting the rugger-bugger too (but hope they give him a better costume next week). I may have to join you in a cursory chest inspection of the Blue one....

Yep, I've migrated from SCD too. Thought I's gone through a time warp when Kyran did the Free Willy bit at the end.

I loved DOI last year but I'd not discovered SCD then and now I'm finding it hard to get into DOI in the same way.Corrupted forever by SCD!The excitement build up on a Saturday is not the same sadly.Still I might get more into it as the series goes on.
Maybe it's because I don't have a favourite to support....At least there's no fear my favourite may go out each week. And my phone bill is unaffected as yet so that's good news...

Hello. I'm another SCD fan. I enjoy DOI but would enjoy it a whole lot more if Holly Willoughby wasn't presenting. She's okay for children's telly but not primetime Saturday night!

I have now got over the fact that it's a rip-off of SCD and so this series I can watch it without pointing out every single thing that's vaguely like Strictly!!

Tracing you across the galaxy, Castor...... I guessed that the sight of hunky men in lycra and sequins might have coaxed you out of your SCD vacuum

Are any of you voting or are you exercising great self control?lol.
I have hidden the phone so I can't vote as JTTOU bill not come in yet let alone the end of SCD......

Poking my head in - shameless SCD and DOI fan! I'm loving both series (though if I had to pick a fave it would be SCD) and I think the standard of DOI this year is just A-MAY-ZING (as CRH would say!) Plus the fabulous T&D - how can it go wrong?!

Exercising great control as votes cost 50p, but I might vote a couple of times a bit nearer the final.

Another SCD interloper. Wow I didn't know male costumes could get anymore, how should I put it, flamboyant.

Also hating the ads

Stephen Gately looked awful (not sure if that was entirely the costume, though!), but Kyran looked much better than in the joke outfit he had to wear last week. Ulrika's make up was, if such a thing is possible, even worse than last week.

Can anyone put us out of our misery and tell me what Phil Gale's been doing since the Big Breakfast finished?

He does the news for ITV London I believe....
