Using Messenger on 3
I have a brand new unlocked Nokia N73 that was given to me as a gift.
I also have a brand new 3 contract and have taken the X-Series Gold package. But I cannot use the messenger service. If I try to download and install it I am given a certificate error message and it fails to work. After speaking to 3 techincal support they say that I must use a 3 branded Nokia N73 for this to work as the compatible software would have been installled during manufactuer and there is no way of getting this now. So, is this right ? I cannot use a service simply because I didn't get the phone direct from 3. It must be possible...... |

no unfortunatly 3 put special certificates in ther versions of the firmware these are need to run all(if i rember right) applications downloaded from 3. maybe you could ask a nokia service center to install the 3 firmware versionthey may charge though. three want customers using its own firmware due to restrictions they set such as band selection
