I think i might be alone in this but i am beginning to miss the Slaters. Even though EE has used to them to death, there were still the best think about EE in the new millenium.

Even though it has only been a couple of weeks, i am starting to get really bored with the Fowlers now, they are just so boring. Even though i love Pauline, i am already tired with her moaning. I think Martin and Vicki are the saving grace of the Fowler family! Even though Vicki sounds like she's Irish, i think shes a great actress.

I am also tired of the ever so over used MITCHEAL family, well whats left with that family anways.

The Moons arnt helping as well. Alfie is great but the rest of that family is just well so normal. What i mean is that they have no dark family secret, theres nothing there with the Moons. Spencer is just a pretty face and thats that, he cant act sorry.

Whether we like it or not the Slaters were the saving grace of Eastenders, them and Steve Owen, Mel Owen, Grant Mitcheal and Trevor! Although Trevor needed to leave. Without the Slaters and some other characters, Eastenders wouldn't of won all those awards. Okay they are loud and stupid and lets not forget they were annoying, but they have made EE over the last 2 years.

I am not saying lets have another Slater overload no, all i'm saying is that i miss them and only now have i realised what an impact the Slaters have had on EE. I have never realised how boring and ordinary the Fowlers really are, god they were so good in the early 90's and late 80's.

Anyways the only part of the Fowler family, or extended family are the Beales! I am so looking forward to the botch feast between Laura and Ian, they are the ones that are making EE for me at the moment. The writing and acting in this storyline is fantasitic, a typical old fashioned example of a couple who cant live without eachother, and i love it. I am looking forward to Dots return to Albert Sqaure, when she left there was deffinatly a whole in the programme. And of course i am looking foward to the Kat baby storyline in the coming weeks, i heard that the acting and writing will the best since the whole Kat/Zoe saga.

Does anyone else feel the way i do about the Slaters? Or am i the only one? And does anybody else think the Fowlers are boring?

yup i agree with you. starting to miss the Slaters a bit now, and the Fowler's are doing my head in!
gotta say that when the Slater's first came on EE i thought their acting was utter crap, but they have def improved since then and have made EE into good tv.

Oooh at last, people who think like me. I love the Slaters. When Kat leaves for 2 months it's going to be horrendous. I'm not afraid to admit I only watch EE cos of Kat and the other Slaters. EE is nuffin without the Slaters. This entire Mark storyline has bored me no end, with them puzzles, the stopwatch, the rotten fruit and his morose expressions. Can't wait for him to leave, and thank god the Mitchells will be gone as well. Peggy & Phil are doing me head in.

They aren't totally gone, but they aren't playing as bigger roles as they used to. Whats happened to little Mo and Billy they came back from their holidays and just vanished. I think that the Laura and Ian rivalry will be great over the coming weeks and I can't wait for the baby to be born to see how they all react.
