Hi,

I have ported my number loads of times from contract phone to contract phone using PACs, my question is do PACs work exactly the same way for PAYG numbers?

Could I port my contract number to a PAYG for a month, then port it back to a contract?

Thanks,
Alex.

Can anyone else confirm a personal experience of this?

You can move your number between contract and PAYG.
As long as you meet the conditions for a PAC each time. (For example, the network has recovered any subsidy)

But can you move from a PAYG (o2 or vodafone say) to another network contract phone after say only one month after porting the number to the PAYG sim from another contract phone?

i.e. three contract to PAYG vodafone, then one month later, PAYG vodafone back to three?

Yes!

It can be moved wherever and whenever. You can port your number over tomorrow and arrange to port it again as soon after as you like.

With the proviso that the network has recovered any subsidy. Unlikely to be a problem if you just get a SIM card.
