Seeing as Homechoice was fairly quick to carry Film Four, E4 and More4, does anyone know what's the delay with having 4OD? It's available on NTL and Telewest, and would surely be a natural fit as one of Homechoice's sselling points is its On-Demand serive.

What is it exactly? 4 On Demand? Replay?

I expect we will get it, especially if they charge for it. I belive Four said removing it was only a temporary measure for all providers.

It's 99p per episode (some are free), pretty much like "take two" (I think that's what the channel is called...)

The 4OD replay service (7 day catch-up) is free on NTL Telewest even with the most basic tv pack which comes free with your phone line rental.

A library of older shows including content from 4OD and many others is also available for £5 per month on Telewest or free if you have their Supreme TV pack. With ntl library programming is charged at 49p per episode but they are moving over to the Telewest svod model and will also offer all ppv content (excluding movies) for £5 per month or free with their family pack or the new Virgin TV XL pack.

HomeChoice will have to follow otherwise the new national Tiscali service wont be competitive - this is good news!

We want ITV Replay back too!

It is actually quite likely that we will get ITV replay back.

On the 31st March ITV are launching a free (ad supported) catch-up service through their web site, with access to their most popular shows as well as over 1000 hours of archive. I would of thought that since this is ad-supported that they would be more than willing to make it available to the likes of ntl/telewest, homechoice etc. We shall see.

So, only a month after my original enquiry, I have got this highly ambiguous one-line answer from 4OD's 'people'...

Thank you for your email regarding 4oD. Please contact Homechoice/Tiscali for this information.
