UK calls via 18185 - connection charge 5p from 16 Jan 2007

Received an email today stating that connection charge for calls within the UK via 18185 will increase to 5p from 16 January 2007.

Looks like it's back to 1899 then ...

that won't achieve much, their price increases to 5p also

I think they're astute enough to keep below the BT minimum price (3p 'call set-up fee' + 3p for the first minute).

Well it looks like Finarea have lost my custom at evenings & weekends for UK landline numbers - I can't be bothered with the hastle for the sake of 0.5p per call. It'll be back to BT for those calls.

(I know there's a cheaper soluton available elsewhere but I don't want CPS)

This news means I shan't be using 18185 any more for evening and weekend calls. May just as well use BT, and not have to remember dialling the access code. I'll still use them for mobile calls however.
