Registering mobile phones / SIM cards.
I was just wondering how many people have registered their SIM card.
I've registered my O2 one to get the £2.50 calltime. But, I ticked the options not to receive information from O2 and third partied in future. If I've chosen for O2 not to contact me, what will my registered details be used for really? I've only registered my SIM, not the phone. |

If you lose/have stolen your SIM card then you can now prove its yours. O2 will be able to send a replacement, disconnect the original, protect any remaining credit.
O2 can also send you details of any tariff changes. |

My SIM on T-Mobile is registered so that if I lose it or its stolen I can get a replacement and also so I could register a debit card to it as I don't like etop up cards.
