Who here loves Nerina Pallot? One of the best singer/songwriter type females to have surfaced for seemingly ages in my opinion. Love her album to bits!!!

Top album, love the new single too, how the album hasn't been a much bigger seller is beyond me. Looking forward to seeing her live in February.

She's fantastic and this is here second Album btw. 'Dear Frustrated Superstar' was the first, a few years ago, and it just as good as 'Fires', though perhaps a bit more poppy.

I just adore the track 'Sophia' from the new album - though all of it is mighty pretty.

If anyone else dared rhyme Sophia with it's a fire it probably would sound silly, but somehow Ms. Pallot manages to convey such emotion that it doesn't matter. Damned fine music - why isn't she topping the charts and all over the radio? The fools!

Hopefully the Brit nomination will give her some much deserved publicity and commerical sucess.

Fires is one of my favourite albums of the last year or so (Geek Love is a masterpiece) and it is on constant play in the car. Very soothing when stuck in endless traffic to/from work.

Dear Frustrated Superstar had passed me by- don't know how - but I picked it up at the weekend and it's top notch too.

In terms of female singer-songwriters, Nerina is right up there with Thea Gilmore (last album was a bit disappointing though) and KT Tunstall.

I saw in Popbitch that Take That ripped off Patience - any truth in this?

Was much discussion in some thread or other on here. You either embrace it or are in denial about it...not much opinion in-between and the result's pretty moot as Nerina can't do a thing.

As much as I love Nerina's work, I've been listening to some of the acoustic stuff she's done for TV/radio stations, the original Fires and the um, 'remastered' Fires and one can't help thinking that there's been far too much overproduction in Nerina's singles.

I love the songs, don't like her music videos. Nerina's gotta work on the visual appeal of her videos. Her hardcore fans might like 'em but she ain't appealing beyond that fanbase.

...she deserves to be more successful.

In the last few months ive barely listened to anything other than Nerina Pallots 2 albums- amazing voice and songwriting- takes a few listens to fully appreciate and the songs sound just as good after months of listening!

Theres a few only average songs on the 1st album but 'Fires' is for me, the perfect album.

Me too. I wasn't too bothered by her till I heard that song. Got it as my MySpace tune.

( embarrassed to admit I have a MySpace account.)

She's lovely. She reminds me of Fred out of Angel.

I love Nerina. Not only is she stunningly beautiful she's also highly talented. I love English off the new album, though that is only available via iTunes. There are 3 tracks on iTunes that are not on the CD version. I bought the two CD version which has acoustic versions of seven of the songs from The Graduate. This is a really good album and has been played several times already and English is slowly climbing up the list in my most played.
