Problems with D600
Chili Con Carne
17-01-2007
Hi guys,

I have got a Samsung D600, however I am having problems connecting it to the PC. I have downloaded all the latest software from the Samsung website.

But when I plug the phone into the PC it doesn't find it at all. The phone as no battery, and at the moment I cannot find the charger, so I want to charge it from the PC.

Does anybody know what I can do?

Cheers

I don't think this phone can be charged by the PC.

If the phone has no battery, what exactly are you trying to charge? The phone has to be at least have a battery to be detected by the samsung software i think otherwise noway is it gonna find it!

Bu the thing is, when I first put it in the PC my PC detected it, and it came up charging on the mobile, which lasted for about 30 seconds.

because it's a different manufacturer...

for the samsung software to be able to contact your phone without knackering it, the phone has to be powered on and the battery has to have atleast enough charge to keep the phone powered up until the PC reckognises it, then the PC will take over powering the phone and also charge it

you HAVE to have a battery
