Portable DVD player
Can any one help with this one.
My friend has just bought a multi-region portable DVD player (with flip up LCD screen). We have used the menu to switch the unit into PAL only mode. It now plays movies onto the flip up screen and also to a separate PAL tv (via the yellow Video output cable). Here's the problem. The Yellow video connector is IN + OUT (there is a switch on the side to select direction of signal). With this set to IN, we can not get a "proper" picture into the portable dvd. He want's to use the portable DVD as a "monitor" into which he can feed pictures and sound from a camcorder and other devices. We have tried a camcorder, Sony DVD player, and PS2. All of these produce a "rolling" black + white picture when viewed on the DVD players flip up LCD screen. |

It's probably because the player will only work with an NTSC input, can you change the output of the camcorder, Sony DVD player, or PS2 to NTSC to test it?
