Help on Scart connections for Sky+ and other equipment.
I am looking for advice on which Scart connections should be connected to each other to provide the best configuration.
Kit is as follows: Sky+ receiver 2 scart sockets Sony KV-28WS2U TV 2 scart sockets Sony DVD-DVP-S725D 2 scart sockets JVC VCR HR-J610EK 2 scart sockets Sony Home Theatre HT-K215 I do not have an external aerial I can figure out the Home Theatre as that is pretty straight forward. It is the scart connections that I need help with. I have 3 good quality scart leads already. Thanks in anticipation David |

Make sure they are all fully pinned RGB scart leads..........
DVD > VCR > STB > TV (RGB SCART) |

Kevo's suggestion works fine with my similar setup.
It is essential to use fully screened quality scart cables throughout otherwise crosstalk can occur which can cause images floating in the background of the main image or faint other audio in the background. You don't neccessarily need to spend £s on scarts... just make sure they're individually screened, this means the audio and video cables in the scart lead each have an additional screening to reduce interference. These scart leads are slightly thiker than the real cheapo ones. |
