Deluded or Divine? Week 2
Well, we're into round 2. Are the Americans finally learning to take the mick out of Simon?
Clay-this kid can sing- but has no X factor. Hope he gets a chance at the wildcard. Candice:Someone needs to tell her that a micro skirt doesn't make a winning performance, Eeeewwww she's awful. Rebecca: Ewww again- terrible song terrible voice. Was she supposed to be singing in tune? That was ghastly. She thinks she's memorable. I dont and what the hell does Paula mean by 'a little pitchy" Is that Paula speak for the fact that she cant sing in tune? Jacob-BORING: Next dude (as Randy seems to love that word) Does this guy realise he's just been hammered? PUKE at his remarks. Can you imagine a Brit saying that he's there for us? Hadas: is that her real name? She's not bad but not super great- at least she can sing in tune. RUBEN He doesn't look it, but great-in the realm of talent that is Ai. What a fruitcake Paula is! 'I need a hug.' I have a serious doubt about her sanity. Loved Ruben and brother squeezing Ryan between them on the sofa. It certainly wasn't big enough for the three of them. Kimberly-the late Frenchie's sidekick-lt was OK, not a patch on when Katie did it on FA. Randy-'a masterclass in singing'.Nope, cant see it, Didn't love the after chat. Typical American bs. Jennifer- Can they be any worse? I'm seriously wondering if there should be a second season of Pop Idol. If this is the cream of America then I feel sorry for them, Theres no Zoe, no Rosie no Careth yet. All of whom are better than this lot!

Marginally better than last week and I agree that Ruben was in a different class from the others. Poor Ryan and his busted lip though....
Hee hee tally, I thought exactly the same about Katie from FA...she sang that beautifully and didn't even use the whole range of her voice. I think I would may be like this programme more if I knew the songs that they were singing. I haven't a clue what half of them were! But I'll be back next week to watch the girl with purple hair. I just can't believe the egos and self-belief that some of these people have. Okay, they need to have a little of both but the confidence they have in themselves when being interviewed is unreal and over the top IMO. I can't remember any of the Pop Idol lot being like that - they were usually very humble when receiving a compliment and were too scared to argue back...they respected the judges for their input. Could you imagine Jessica, Rosie or Laura telling Simon that he sucked? Nope, neither can I. Re. the judges - I love Simon Cowell...he's on top form this series and is taking the flak pretty well. Randy Jackson is pretty cool - he knows what he is speaking about. Paula Abdul...what is she doing there? Does she not have it in her to criticise anybody? Ramble over, you can stop yawning now! |

What would be an American translation of "take the mick out of"? Just wondering.
![]() I am so disappointed that Clay didn't make it. However, I think the judges will bring him back for the wild card round. So maybe he has a chance to make it to the final 10. I am looking forward to Vanessa next week (she's the one with the red hair). |

I agree about Paula Abdul....waste of space. There is no point saying everyone is great.
Clay should have been in the top 2. I trust Kimberley ( five and half ) can sing something else. |
