I can see this working for ITV
A daytime 1-hour soap, starting at about 12.30pm till 1.30pm.
Think Holby city a hospital soap set in a busy ward and full of nurses and doctors and so forth! This kinda drama is quite popular in the UK, just look how well doctors does on bbc1.

Exactly so how can they "bring back" a show that half the country saw. This show served a purpose at the time as a regional filler. It is no longer needed so wont be brought back. Also ITV1 does not do imports |

They will find it easier and cheaper to simply repeat their huge masses of drama - Poirot, Darling Buds of May etc. |

There were rumours that there would be a spin-off from The Bill called Sun Hill General set in St. Hugh's hospital... I don't think anything has come of it as it was a couple of years ago that the idea was considered by ITV.

I am sure ITV are happy enough with their 1230 offering at the moment.
I would rather return to the 80s style of regional programmes at 12.30 and then ITN at 1, regional offerings in the afternoon with CITV at 4pm |
