Hello, I am buying a nokia 6280 from a friend tomorrow and just wondered, is it a 3G phone and will I have to have an 3g sim to use it, and if I do where do I get one from and how much.
Thanks in advance
Andy
I had the same phone on o2.Yes it is 3G.You can use a 2G card in it but you wont be able to use all of the 3G features obviously.Mine was on contract so it came with the sim card.
I think if you phone o2 they will supply a 3G sim card for a fee,i think its £10.
Dont like the phone had to many software bugs.
o2 will supply a 3g SIM free of charge if you call customer services. It will be dispatched and delivered within 3-5 working days.
Because of needing to activate the new SIM, and deactivate the old one then there is the possiblity that the SIM would be connected (and your old one disconnected) before you received it.
