I was thinking of joining fast.co.uk as my ISP. They say here

http://www.fast.co.uk/broadband.php

that if you have ADSL installed then the migration is free and the installation cost is waived. Do I take it that I fulfill these criteria?

I read about the problems leaving HC and signing up with another ISP in this thread

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=507307

bur read somewhere recently that OFCOM were introducing new legislation in February that a MAC code had to be issued. Anyone know if this is true or how it would affect the transfer?

Doesn't apply to LLU providers, which HomeChoice are.

You'll still need to cease your ADSL then place a new order with your new ISP (who may well charge you a setup fee), you won't qualify for the free migration since that only applies to adsl services provided by BTW.
