You can't. A protected file can only be played on a computer and an iPod. Plus most phone's don't support AAC files which is what iTunes use.

ITunes ripoff at its best. You pay for the music and cant even put it on your non-ipod device.

I think there is a workaround where you can burn your ITunes tracks to a CD-R then re-rip them to your pc (or directly to your phone) as MP3s.

Hopefully someone who has managed to do this could tell you more!!

Well the simple solution to that is if you don't want to use an iPod, don't download from iTunes.

There are other sources on the internet to download music. Downloading from iTunes and expecting the music to work on a non iPod device is like buying a Top-up card for Vodafone and expecting it to work on O2.

Am I missing something here ? I have only purchased a couple of tracks off i tunes and had no problems dropping the tracks on to my SE810 phone and then used bluetooth to transfer the tracks to my friends phone. I use Apple computers so maybe this is a PC problem ?

hi guys. thanks for the replies, i will try the cd suggestion tommorrow!

jac. the reason i want to use my phone instead of i-pod is at work im not allowed a personal stereo, and ipod speakers are expensive, plus the risk of ruining the ipod.......

on the over hand my phone is insured and i can fit 200 of my favourite songs onto it, which is enough for me!

thanks again people

To answer the original Q: Unless You've got a ROCKR or a V3iM, Nope!

Noo its because some phones only accept certain formats: WMA and MP3 mostly. Is SE810 a new phone? Eg: I had a D500, not such an old phone, it would only accept MP3s and WMAs Now i have a Sony Ericsson V630i and it still wont! It all depends on how your phone is formatted and how the songs are formatted.

That phone is the "iTunes Phone" and will play your purchased songs. The v3iM does the same.

The SE K800i also supports ACC format

I would check the details before buying a Motorola iTunes phone as i have heard that it is no longer supported and files purchased after a certain date won't play
