T-mobile changes in February
Satellite John
20-01-2007
Relax tariffs are scrapped, replaced with 12 month versions of Flext:
Flext 25 (£25 line rental, £40 of credit)
Flext 35 £35 line rental, £120 of credit)
Flext 50 (£50 line rental, £160 of credit)

Flext 30 and Flext 75 have been discontinued, while all other Flext 18 month contracts remain the same.

What will happen to those people who are currently on Flext 30 etc? I guess our price plans won't change

So does that mean I got in just on time as yesterday I renewed my 18 months contract on the Flext 30 which I got at £25 (25% discount) each month?

I'm on the T-Mobile Flext 75 with the 25% discount (which was the offer at the time if you did it all online), so i'm paying £56 for £390 allowance. I'll not be best pleased if they bend my arm with a change! I'm guessing they will leave current customers alone?
Why are they changing anyway? T-Mobile used to have something for everyone, now it seems it's Flext, U-Fix/pay and go or nothing?

No you can stay on your current plans for as long as you like but if you move to another you'll never have it back.

Just to clarify, T-Mobile can't force you to change tariff. Whatever you're on now, you'll stay on it unless you choose to change.

That's not entirely accurate.

You can be given 30 days notice of a compulsary price plan change if the plan is being completly removed. Don't worry, I've only seen this happen a few times and it was always after a good few years after the priceplan was ringfenced and the number of users was very low.

However, if they do that you are entitled, under the terms of the contract, to end that contract with them, even if there are months to run. I shall be keeping my tariff, as it's suddenly become quite attractive at £56.25 for £390 worth of allowance!

Well there isnt a set amount of mins or texts its just deducted from your £360, but you can get examples of the amounts here

http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher...nPricePlan=pmt
Just select Flext 75 and drag the bars and it will tell you!

thanks for that..

hm for the same price it seems i get 870 mins and 870 texts more than half i get know for same price!

..and the flex 75 gives me 1300 mins/1300 txts for 70 quid, 25 extra a month just for the phone.

might just save up some cash and buy the K800i and stick with my sim only for 45 a month.

anyone no any deals for phone only on the sony k800i then?

So Flext 35 £35 line rental, £120 of credit - how many text messages and minutes will that be?

Do you know how Flext works? You can't tell exactly how many you get until you use it but if you used the £120 for texts along that would be 1200 and calls alone would be 600 minutes.

My friend just told me she got Flext 18 month deal on Flext 35 with half price line rental for 6 or 12 months (can't remember which one). She got it through Carphone Warehouse

Damn as from today I'm on Flext 30 with only £5 discount a month.

Those types of deals are only offered through CPW and Phones 4 u etc. But to be honest your best of going through Tmobile direct as theres better aftercare service etc.

Also generally the £5 direct discount is due to expire soon.

My contract runs out on 14th February. Three have offered me half price line rental for nine months at £22.50 a month and then £45 after the half price line rental, for this I get 600 mins and 400 texts on a 12 month contract. Would these new offers from T-Mobile be able to beat this?

I'm sure Ive seen 18 months half price line rental from Three but I'm not sure how much usually is - Maybe only £35 a month

Also there is a website called. www.simply3g.com

I haven't used them but a guy at work told me about it they have Three offers and other networks

Grrrrr T-Mobile are stupid.

My phone is under my Dad's name but I pay the Direct Debit and we renewed the phone on the 23rd Jan and got £5 off the monthly Flext rental. We asked for a transfer pack so the phone can be put in my name.

This came today and I just called T-Mobile the guy said I can't keep the £5 monthly discount if it is tranferred to my name. For God's sake we only renewed the 18 month contract 2 days ago so the same tariff should apply.

I asked to speak to a Manager and got the same old rubbish that the Manager will say the same thing. Enrico (T-Mobile worker) that is a LIE. As I was told the same thing on Sunday when I wanted K800i for free and was told couldn't have. After insisting to speak to Manager I got K800i straight away for free.

So now I have to wait for a Manager to call back
