Voip Buster... how much credit?

On VoipBuster they say you get free landline calls to certain countries once you purchase credit... anyone know how much you need to buy as I can't find it on their site.

Thanks

I wrote to them this morning... no reply yet. I'll post on here when I hear.

They appear to be from the same company as Voipstunt. When I added credit the minimum was €10 but I agree, nothing on their site to confirm this.

They looked quite good until I saw what they are charging for calls to the UK

€10 is the minimum. You get free calls for 120 days and get more free days added when you add more credit. If you run out of free days normal rates apply (usually about 1p/min). Check out this comparison site of all the Betamax companies (all the same owner) http://www.voipproducts.eu/betamax-rates/
The rates change every few months. As you can see VoipCheap.COM is the best right now for UK. You only get 90 days free calls with that one though.

Never knew there was a pro version - that company seems a bit dodgey though in how many different names they use and each one has a different list of countries they supply free calls to. But 10 Euro's seem very good.

I have a hardware SIP phone so this should work with it but I've found the quality of the test 1 minute free calls isn't always that good

also note their terms

VoipBuster Pro Unlimited Calling

For a fixed fee, you get 1 year (365 days) of phone calls to various destinations, listed as free. This offer is valid for limited period of time and VoipBuster Pro reserves the right to end the offer, extend it or change it at any time and at its sole discretion.

VoipBuster Pro considers a maximum of 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address as fair use. If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply. Also, when you have run out of Freedays, the normal rates apply.

We\'ve been using this group of companies for several years as have others, yes they do have various versions offering different companies.

...and yes they do occasionally change prices leaving you with some credit to use up on paid calls. But overall they offer a good deal and most landline calls are either free or maximum 1p/min (if you run out of free days or they change the prices). Whichever way you look at it, that's cheaper than almost all other providers. What's €10 anyway if it all goes tits up? Just go for it and hope for the best. I've certainly done well out of them the past one and a half years.

I can't say I'm overly impressed with the VoipBuster Pro offering though. The 3.9c connection charge is the bit that makes it not worth it for me. You get charged that even if you get someone's voicemail. I'd rather use VoipDiscount.com, but I think it depends on how many calls you make. If you make less calls, the Pro one looks better. Basically VoipDisount costs you €30 a year without the connection charge per call, so it's an easy calculation: less than 2 free calls a day, go Pro! Don't rely on my dodgy maths!
