Just had a look on another forum and Virgin SIMs work in T-Mobile, but T-Mobile SIMs don't work in Virgin phones, so it would need unlocking.

you can also sign up to virgin instore, you get ur phone there and then rather than waiting for it!

oh rite, sorry been a long long day! i dunno then i thought all places had a certain length of time you can return your phone and cancel your contract??!

from their terms:

If you wish to take advantage of our returns policy, it is your obligation to return the phone in question together with any accessories and other goods supplied at your own cost by special delivery. Our returns policy only applies to phones which are unused (i.e. not used to make or receive calls or send or receive messages or data).

Surely they are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations (http://www.oft.gov.uk/Business/Legal/DSR/default.htm).

Because you haven't physically seen the product you're buying you can return it within 7 days even if you don't like the colour.

I brought a N73 on o2 via carphone warehouse's online sales dept.

Everything was as smooth as could be and i got the phone at 8:30 am the fridyday after ordering at 6pm the day before...

I had nothing but nightmares with the phone... too numerous to list here...

rang them up and complained to the hilt and they just said go and take it back to any carphone warehouse store or we'll arange to get it picked up...

I took it back with no probs... execpt the look on the store mnagers face when i listed all the problems on a brand new 4 day old phone... (which had onl been out since the previous monday)

i was able to take it back because of the Distance Selling Regulations (http://www.oft.gov.uk/Business/Legal/DSR/default.htm). because at the end of they day if you had brought it in the store you "could" have seen a working version of the handset... but as you are buying from a call center of on-line you aren't able to actually do this...

I then settled on a SE K800i on T-mobile Flext... then got pissed off because they released the blckberry pearl about 3 weeks later!!!

Send it back as faulty then, they don't check, they just send them back to the supplier

Why not just get the phone on T-Mobile? That way you wont be paying a Virgin contract as well.

Just looked... and they dont offer as good deals as dialaphone... the cheapest for a free phone with t-mobile would be £40 a month!

Also, if i did get the phone from Dialaphone, who would i contact to get the phone unlocked? direct through dialaphone or virgin?

one suggestioon would be to go to a virgin megastore that has the mobile section and actually try the handset out before buying it online - that is what i normally do
