Sky, Guideplus+ & teletext

I have a Panasonic DVD recorder fitted with Guideplus+ which I believe receives its signal through the teletext signal broadcast on Eurosport, channel 410. In November we had a power failure and Guideplus+ stopped working. The recorder tried to download the programme guide but the stations were blank. I reset the DVD and set up Guideplus+ again, now I don't even have a list of stations. I have a Pace skybox.
I have just noticed that I cannot get teletext on any channels that do not have digital text, when I try to get text on Eurosport I am told to "press TV on my remote and repress text" this has no effect.
Am I correct in thinking that the Guideplus+ programme details are carried by the teletext signal?
Are these still being broadcast?
If so any ideas why I am not receiving them?
I have no terrestial aerial so cannot receive the listings via ITV1
Any suggestions or help will be gratefully received, this is driving me mad.
