Landlord has just given permission to put up a dish on the roof. Which means I'm free from HC at last. Don't get me wrong, I have been with HC nearly 2 years, the idea is great but the price and the content let it down. Have waited to hear more information about the "Soon to be launched" Tiscali TV service however 3 months into my 4 months free I have got bored! I think it will be the same just rebranded! Now sky offer free broadband HC are no longer competitive. I will be paying the same money each month as HC should cost me with sky which includes HD and the vast choice of channels that sky offer.

I hope that for the few loyal customers they have that the service does get better in the future, however looking how bad there customer service is now tiscali have taken over I dont think this will be the case!

I will be thinking of you all watching My family from 5 years ago on C1 while I am watching the latest simpson on sky one.

Best of luck!

Good luck with getting through to speak to the right person to cancel, we're in the middle of doing it at the moment - it seems when you choose that option nobody wants to pick up the phone!

I got Sky back in the Summer when HD came out, just had to run down the 12 month contract which finally ends this month.

Yep Im leaving too, not to Sky though. To be honest I used to have Sky and missed it for like a week. But what did I miss considering I never watched 90% of the channels.

I don't mind fewer channels, would like Living and Sky one but I can live without them. But the content for VOD is what Im interested in and its currently lacking.

There are rumours over in the Sky forum that soon Sky will be announcing that their standard install box will be a Sky Plus one - probably as a spoiler for the big Virgin Media launch next month.

If you haven't already ordered it, you might want to wait and see if those rumours are true.

I have decided to leave too, I phoned up to complain about the service last week, when the picture keep freezing every few minutes, they told me it would be fixed in a few days, (it was a problem on one of their servers), while on the phone I also complained about problems in December and they offered me 60p! I could not believe it. The next day I phoned up and gave my notice, they didn't even seem to care.

dronkula - Thanks for the tip, I was thinking of ordering Sky+ when homechoice have released my phoneline. Will wait and see.
