Does anyone know what the rules are surrounding getting an exchange on a mobile phone bought today?

I purchased a Sagem MY501c mobile from the T Mobile shop, however upon getting it home and having a good play with it, I have found that i cannot hear the thing ring even when its on the maximum volume.

Do you think they will give me an exchange on this handset for another, or do you think they will flat out refuse to do anything?

When i enquired about returning phones at the T-Mobile shop, they said only if it's faulty within 28 days.

Sorry but its unlikely your're going to get as refund or exchange since the phone works fine you just can.t here it well and to be fair this isn't their fault.

Maybe it is faulty as you can't hear ringtone very loudly. Most phone volumes can go really loud. Take it back to shop and ask them.

Think T-Mobile say that when you buy that is it no taking it back although some networks do just they don't.

You're not having much luck with phones are you? Low ring volume, no calls coming in, broken/cracked screens?

Take the handset back to the store and ask for a replacement which you are entitled to. Also for your reference, take the name of the person who deals with you just in case of any confusion.

its a whole lot better imo, although you lot may say different - i swapped it for the motorola w375 and i got 12 months insurance on the handset for a fiver - does what i need it to do (calls, texts and mms) looks kinda funky if you ask me.
