Just watched Last nights Episode.

What a giant waste of space. Was he just brought in to replace Robbie?

He has had no decent storylines, probably because the veiwers wouldnt give a flying .... about the outcome.

I watched this episode and couldn't understand why his contract has been constantly renewed. At least Julie had a storyline.

Gus just sits there like a giant tit.

Isn't there going to be something going on between Gus and Libby?

He's a complex and interesting character who has had many interesting storylines.

I think he is awful. I really enjoyed last night's episode but fast forwarded all of Gus and Deano's bit (If Gus was in the scene with another decent character i may have watched - BUT DEANO!). They really need to get rid because he is so dull and boring.

Gus is just a background character, a bit like winston or tracey, ok so he may have a few more lines than them, but he is just essentially a background/bit part artist who adds a sense of realism to the show, as there are people outside of the wicks, fowlers, brannings and mitchells who live in walford but are not always involved in major storylines, and Gus is one of them.

Well, I suppose you do have to have background people, such as the market stallholders etc, I thought Gus was there purely to be seen dragging Wellard round now and again and giving him the odd sausage in the cafe. Are dogs really allowed in cafe's?

I like Gus. It's much more realistic to see him just "there" without him being in the spotlight all the time.

lol totally waste of space-more pointless than Wellard-the dog has more storylines!

Petition to axe?!

But the sausage just spoiled that episode...

I agree, I like gus as well. the writers are wasting a great character and actor.

He's just a well-meaning guy, with nothing amazing or interesting going on in his life. If soaps are ment to reflect real life, not every character needs a big event happening in their life, they can just wake up, talk with friends, and go to work, with the occasional night out!

If Gus had a decent storyline then he would have a place in eastenders, but ever since all the Gus and Sonia and Gus and Juley storylines finished, there is no where really for his character to go.

There is no point to Gus. He's very lucky to have lasted this long without getting axed. As a person, he'd be wonderful to have as a friend/partner, but as a character......

He's a bit like Mick. He floated about being totally uninteresting. Got half a storyline...then disappeared without trace.

He is simply not given enough TV time to tell what sort of actor he is, and even when he is given enough time - his storylines are rubbish

so there is no way of telling what sort of actor Mohammed George is
