I think you have to contact DS Forum support.....

Here's how I requested my poll (it got set up pretty quickly after I'd sent my request.....)
In the banner along the very top of the page, there are several options, beginning with the option "First Visit?" and ending with a search box. On that bar, click on the option "Contact Us". That will take you to page asking you what you wish to complain/comment about. Be sure to click forums You will then be given a form to fill out. Complete it in the given fields, and if you wish to be notified with the end result (hopefully a poll) then include an email address. Then, in the message box, write as if you were writing a letter to DS forum, asking them if they could please set up a poll on the "Dancing on Ice" forum. Then, include the question you wish people to be polled on, and the options people can choose from. Also, include a date you wish the poll to close on, before submitting.
Hope this helps

Does anyone know why we can't do polls ourselves? Seems weird, and the onyl forum I have encountered this practice on.

Just a guess, but I suppose it's to stop people posting pointless polls e.g "why do you hate ****" or "Who do you hate more **** or ****?" etc etc. Although most of the posters here on DS are genuine, and vary rarely dislike someone on a show so much that they would do that, believe me, there are a few. And DS is so big that it's sometimes almost impssible to distinguish the genuine users from the ones who have just joined to stir up trouble. Like I said before, just a thought.

Fair enough, though I'm sure the mods could save themselves a lot of work by letting us post our own polls, and getting rid of the crap ones.

But hey ho, I can live with how it is!

Firstly, set up a thread with all your categories/nominee's for your poll vote.

Then, press the Alert button in the bottom left hand corner of your post.

Type in something along the lines of "A poll for this thread please mods"

Then, one of the mods will assess your poll and then make one for you on that very same thread.

Good Luck
