I've noticed that as well!

There's a few Northern-based programmes that seem to do this - they must just get the A-Z out when thinking of a name for a new character!

Ooooh failsworth! Where i'm from! I remember a few years back when it was mentioned when someone was leaving the street and they said it was a horrible area! Was hilarious with the local papers saying it was discusting! Half of it is bloody horrible!

With time on my hands and a little research I have found

Barlow ( Derbyshire)
Shuttleworth ( Greater Manchester)
Platt Bridge ( Greater Manchester)
Sharples ( Lancs)
Webster ( Lancs)
Grimshaw ( Lancs)
Peacock ( Cheshire)
Compton ( Derbyshire)
Crabtreee ( Cumbria)

There is a Duckworth Hall in Lancs and a town called ********* but it is in North Yorkshire
