I personally know nothing about her skating career, [she never had one] and had never heard of her before DOI2, but those who do [Morelli on FSU 
], say she was a very average skater from Sheffield. She's not 19, [as written in the press] as she's married, and apparantly skates in a professional show, but which one I have no idea, if it was Holiday on Ice or something they would say surely? So it must be an obscure one abroad. 
Her maiden name was: Francoise Thacker, and she skated at Sheffield in the early 90s as a teenager.

Well I don't think I remember them mentioning which shows Dan or Tamara were from last year. I hadn't heard of her either, but some people go into shows pretty early, and she wouldn't be on DOI if she didn't have enough experience to cope with a complete beginner flinging her around!

Do you mean Olga? I remembered Olga Sharutenko's name from when skated with Vadim Naumov and knew she was with Imperial Ice Stars, as I'd seen them peform Sleeping Beauty on Ice, also Dan is quite well know as a Hot Ice regular, these are two famous professional companies, along with HOI.
Tamara Sharp was Andi Peter's partner in series one. She was American.
Olga was Jonh Barrowman's partner.

There are soooo many shows out there with FAB skaters in them. La Rhumba, I appreciate your devotion and knowledge of competitive ice dance, but you might want to take another look at show skaters outside of the UK. Frankie, Melanie, Fred, Kristina, Matt and Tamara from last series are but a few of the fantastic performers that blossom as professionals. After all the average show skater performs 10 times per week!

Yep I should have clarified that - blink and you'd have missed Tamara really (especially next to Andi's antics)! I didn't mention Olga because her tag was Junior world champion, and in any case it was mentioned several times that she was in the Imperial (going to see her soon
). They tend to mention competitive rather than show histories, but it would be nice if they did a little piece on one of the backstage shows about the experiences of show skaters, being as competitions have been variously documented in the past.

Definitely I do have great respect for them.
Also I forgot to mention Andrea's partner from the last series was a member of the New York Ice Theatre ofcourse. I do agree with glitterbug, I just wish we could hear more from the pros, talking about their careers and the shows they are in.
