Problem with transferring files to my MP3

I have a creative zen vision m which I have already transferred over 2500 tracks to. Last night I downloaded an album. When trying to import the data to the zen I get a message saying the files are not of a type supported by the play (which is rubbish as they are WMA format) or that they are beyond the playback capabilities of the player (oh really!).
Does anyone have a solution?

It could be the files are actually corrupt. Personally I have never had or seen that come up, and I have a Zen M. You do realise that wma eats battery life? Still stuck try this forum, they are very good at sorting out problmes and you'll get a better faster answer than from the official site. linky

Cheers. Am most confused though as the files play fine on my laptop.

Can you convert them from WMA to MP3 maybe?

I have a Zen vision M too, love it to bits! So friendly to use, great sound and great features!

Yes I can, but shouldn't need to for them to be transferable. I am really puzzled about this one!

Ricardo it is better to have them in MP3 format. Mainly because it means you won't need to keep charging the battery as much. wma eats battery life faster than MP3. You can get wma to mp3 converters, there are a few on the net. Not sure though how many are actually full programs. But have a look anyway.
Any problems just PM me.

Don't convert them to MP3 - you'll make them sound worse than they already are.

If you want MP3s of reasonable quality then the best way to do this is to delete all your WMAs and start afresh by ripping your CDs to MP3.

I solved this one by burning the files to a CD. Then ripping the CD straight into the Zen. Still dunno why I had to do that though!

You can convert to mp3 at different bitrates which will give you a better sound, but you wont notice the difference between wma and mp3 anyway through little ear phones... only if you have on a powerful soundsystem with bass. I find it easier using windows media 10 to rip to that and then sync all the files i want at once to the zen.

As much as i love my zen m... it eats battery life... ive known laptops that last longer than it, and i cant pretty much watch one movie and listen to 10 songs till it dies horribly. then i cant seem to half charge the battery... it just wont turn on till its fully charged.

It also goes a little screwy when i plug it into my laptop when its on standby (Power supply plugged in, not actually booted up)

AND no ac adapter?! whats going on... anyways sorry for that little rant, am getting annoyed with my zen hehe
