What about him suggesting that he "put the kettle on" whilst Gail decided upon what she was gonna do.....classic corrie!! Could have been a line from Father Ted

Would you have a cup of tea!!!

I loved the line from gail when richard was talking about Aide and Scum and she says "She gets it from her mum" it was so low.

Yup that was brilliant. I had a funny feeling she was going to say that though!

ohhhhhh what a night...... gripping the sofa for the entire thing. I agree with the above....... what a line about making a cup of tea, while she made her mind up....... THAT WILL DO IT ALL RIGHT !!! I'm a mass murderer, as mad as a march hare, but sure ... have a cup of Tetley's and all will be well !! LOLOL. What amused me as well was Steve Mc Donald..... THAT GUY COULD LIE FOR BRITAIN....... sez he at the top of his voice.... as Gail "accidentally" overhears it......less than one inch away from him. I must say....... did love the bit where Gail suddenly realised that what Richard had craved all along was the ready made family...... that he was obviously infertile. Three wives and no kids......... hmmmmmmmm although it was stretching the imagination to believe her line of "it suited me, I didn't want any more kids"...... nothing short of a trip to Lourdes would have made that possible dear...... at your age. So now it begins...... the coming weeks should be great fun...... the spoilers are great on the this site..... if anyone has not seen them yet, great twists and turns.

Him " you've every right to be angry..."
'

'

Him " It won't happen again "
Her " are your sure ?

It was murder they were talking about, wasn't it, sounded more like an apology for being caught playing away from home, or some such

How very restrained ? or should I say un-realistic ( not that I've been in that situation of course ) Surely even the most anally retentive of us brits would display just a tad more emotion at a time like that.

first time I have watched it for ages, the storyline was driving me crazy and could not stand watching Richard and Gail. Watched both episodes last night, brilliant, will now be watching it again thats for certain, even the final maaaamm.... on the phone was soo well done, best scene on a soap in years.

Gail was in shock and Richard's one sandwich short of a picnic - I thought it was played brilliantly. There's enough histrionics and over-acting in Crossroads. This is a man who honestly thinks that having a cheap affair is worse than smacking your wife round the head with a spade.

I thought it was great! I spent half of the time thinking what a scary man and half the time laughing! I did laugh out loud three or four times!

Maralyn, she was in the very first episode and stayed with the original crossroads for years, her brummy accent was sooo funny, it brought it all back last night.

What I'm looking forward to most is the reaction of everybody else when they find out! Particularly Emily, Norris, Rita, Ashley ... can't wait until Wednesday.

There's an omnibus on Sunday afternoon on ITV2.

I think it's on before that though - don't ITV 2 repeat them round about tea time the following day? It may be different with the 2 episodes though.

More appropriate would have been Les ( with air guitar?) singing " The Ace of Spades".
