I like both David and Tracy as characters but I am not enjoying the storyline so far at all. I think Corrie are making a mistake in David lying too much and it just seems to contrived and unrealistic. In fact, I think Coronation Street is sliding a little. I don't really like the direction Steve Frost is taking the programme in. The bisexual love triangle story is another one I don't want to see.

No Corrie is fantastic right now. I love what Steve Frost has done and can't wait for the new family and Demon is the future of this show.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The writing is so brilliant on Corrie that it would be justified and understandable

It is getting a bit silly. The whole Tracy saga is going well over the top, especially now that David has got himself involved - they both know that the other is lying.

Most of the story i have found to be unrealistic, yet somehow have made excuses for.

Yet, to allow tracy back on the street, with such an impressionable witness (david), how could those daft police officers let her back on the street??

I don't know all the legal ins and outs, but i think its obvious that she'll 'interfere' with the witness(es).

Agree completely. That's one of the main reasons that I've stopped watching the show.

Tracy was released on bail before David came forward with his eye witness statement.
I`m sure David isn`t the only person who has told lies to get attention.
I love this twist to the story line, let`s face it Tracy out on bail would get very boring. As it is with David involved who knows where he will take it.
Also can`t wait till Claire starts having doubts when Tracy`s true nature starts coming out. No way can Tracy be nice to Claire for very long.

i totally agree .. its like some stale pantomime .i sometimes tune in just to see how bad it is ... and it usually doesnt dissapoint .... i cant see it getting better as the upcoming storylines sound awful and new cast additions boring & wooden .

I think the ratings speak for themselves and Corrie is streets ahead.

The ratings show which show is the most popular at any given time. They say nothing about the quality of a show.

After all the Sun sells more copy than say the Independent, but could anyone seriously say the quality of that publication is better??

Who cares if it is unrealistic, it is entertainment.

When you add up the totals of people who watch the EastEnders and Coronation Street omnibuses, EastEnders usually edges ahead. They still have an audience of around 12 million, equal with Corrie's. Corrie has more viewers when the episode actually goes out; but there are an extra 2-3 million people who watch EastEnders at 10.00pm on BBC3 and the Sunday omnibus.

David is amazing, and no matter how out-there or far-fetched the storyline, Jack.P.Shepherd can pull it off. I'm loving this storyline!

I have to agree with this. Over the past year Jack has shone and it's good to see him doing even more and having two characters involved that would not normally cross paths. I'm loving it.

I agree he is a good character and actor. But I think the storyline is one too far-fetched and that Corrie risk turning him into an actual evil person when he is merely a misguided teenager. As someone already posted on here, a good idea would be for David to have a breakdown - a realistic and compelling storyline.
