Well it finally came out. What a fantastic episode, but there are a few things bothering me.

Gail - the first person she calls is her Mother. Now hand up if you would call your Mother before the Police? I mean come on, what happens if he comes back to attack Gail, surely the poilice would be more of a help to her than an old lady!

Secondly, he JUST walked away!! What the hell was all that about, He KNOWS Gail is gonna call the cops, so there is no way he can hide forever!

This is how I would like to see it end:

But firstly, did u all see The clips they were showing on GMTV, LK Today and This Morning?

The one where Richard is in the kitchen, Sarah is behind Gail and David is in front of his mother, kinda protecting her, and talking (shouting?) at Richard??

Well I would like to see David stab Richard with a knife, shouting "Your Not My Dad" as he's doing it!
Would be nice to see a different ending to what we are all expecting to happen.

Oh and one more thing, Richard told Gail he couldn't have kids, well that wasn't a suprise really when you think about it.
And the cheek of him calling the kids "my kids", especially at what he had just told Gail!

All in all, great episode, keep up the good work Corrie. lets hope that after this story line things don't die down, like EE has done. Mind you the courtcase in EE is coming up soon, so maybe they will bring abit of that old EE back!

One more little thing, well 2 really lol.

Sarah and David normally fight like cat and dog, but it was soooo sweet to see them sat on Sarah's bed together.
Reminded me of when David gave that beautiful, yet heart-wrenching speach to Sarah, when she was in that accident.

The other thing is that, those kids have mobiles, so why wehn sent back to thier rooms didn't they call 999, or Martin or someone? They were terrified, I would have called someone if Id have been them!

A small question

Is that him out of it completely or does he comeback for revenge like the pictures in the press showed.

He does come back and then dies. They've filmed six possible cliffhanger endings.

Gail was in shock, which is why she called her mum, not the police. Is common.

Right, so he's just walked out of the house mad as a sack of snakes in the middle of the night after confessing to a string of murders and who does Gail get to walk around - the person he'd blaim for getting caught out - her Mum??!

Agree. You're in trouble, first person you want is your mom to hug you and make it better.

Theres some things I don't get about last night.

Gail has an open plan living room (with stairs). The kids will have heard everything that Gail and Richard were saying.

I can't believe that they only have 1 phone in the house!

My point exactly, and Sarah does have a mobile phone also. And when they cut to the upstairs scenes with Sarah and David, u could hear what Gail and Richard were saying anyways!!!

Lots of mistakes in that episode Im afraid, but still was gripping material.

One thing thats realy bugging me about Corrie at the moment is the stupid mistakes.

1) Shelly is cooking a roast, she gets it out the oven with gloves on, Peter goes over to see if its done and puts his hands on what should be a very hot dish and keeps them there a good 10 seconds.

I don't think that was really a mistake. I would have thought that Sarah and David would have acted that way because they wouldn't (or didn't want to ) believe Richard could actually kill someone.

It would be the same reaction if they had heard him hit Gail.

They weren't clear what the fight was about. WE could hear, but they were speculating on what the argument could be about and I remember David saying she'd be lucky to find someone else at her age(!). They went downstairs and their mom told them it was okay - probably because she didn't want them involved and therefore in danger - and they believed her. As you would.

Ah, but it *was* a hot dish, because you can clearly see the bubbling, boiling juice in the tray.

Also, I'm quite sure that there is *always* something in cups on soaps when they have a drink. I suppose it's just hard to act out drinking, but I think they do generally have something in the cups. They have "beer" in the pub, so why not "coffee" in the cafe. I think we all expect them to be faking it and therefore we assume the cup is empty.

Also, I don't think David would have reacted the way he did. Yes, he's a c0cky little boy, but I still think he'd have been more surprised.

Of course, if I was a Corrie writer, I'd have this happen:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sorry Mrs Hillman, there is absolutely no way Patricia Hillman is beneath the foundations of those flats. We've dug the whole lot up, there's no body."

This would of course, confuse the viewer, because we know Patricia fell into the foundations. This suggests that she perhaps wasn't dead!

Then of course, Gail would go to her and Richard's favourite spot on the beach and find his clothes washed up on the shore. She'd stare out to sea, as she realises Richard has disappeared forever.

This would be such a good ending for Hillman, because it would leave so many questions unanswered.

Was Patricia dead? Where's Richard gone? Did he drown? Did he throw himself into the sea? Where's Patricia now? Will Hillman return? Is there more to Hillman than we know?

This would generate such suspense, and the fact that the viewers would never discover the answers to these questions would make a really unusal and yet exciting endif or Hillman.
