Just got myself the Pioneer 440 after many weeks of comparison.
So far so good, except for...

When using the GuidePlus system for recording I have noticed that sometimes the first few minutes of a programme are missing. Does the recording start at the exact time listed or is it controlled by PDC?

lelpep i don't have a Pioneer,but i do use Guide+ on a different machine.it will start recording at the time it says in the Guide+ ,even if the programme hasn't started,thats why you miss the start sometimes.i use the Video+ for recording that usually gets it right.Cheers.Cumbrian

I always manually edit the record setting. 2 mins b4 and about 15 after. YOu can always edit the recording after.
