He didn't shoot him, he pushed him and he hit his head on the counter. If Viv hadn't had a cob on with him, she might have gone back to the Post office earlier and he might still be alive now. If that had happened, Dawn would never have come to the village and she would still be alive.

Actually, Billy did have a gun, but didn't use it but would have had it with him when he was on the run.

Yes, Jack knows what it's like not being able to see his own son. He hasn't seen nor heard from Robert for months, different circumstances but still an estrangement.

Billy is quite attractive.

Lately there was some mention of Jack finding out that Jackie was his son.
Why was that news? Who was Jackie? Why had Jack not known he was the father? And where is this Jackie now?

I'll put her on my list.

He had an affair with Pat Merrick and then sodded off, she got pregnant and got married to Tom Merrick, and never knew that Jackie wasn't his son. Not until after Pat divorced him and met Jack again.

Jackie shot himself by accident trying to shoot a fox and bled to death.

And the guy who played Tom Merrick came back later as a different character.
