Yeah but if she never came to the village, it wouldn't matter if she was still alive.

I've only seen the Daddy on that dreadful 'Picture' ad.
Haven't laid eyes on any of the others to be honest.

Although I don't think I'd recognise the daughter even if she tried to nick my Revels.

Wasn't the daughter a ginger girl with a rather strong regional accent which none of the family had? I'm sure they invented some plausible reason for that!

Probably. Memory fails me regarding her, sorry.

I remember the son, he had Noel Gallagher eyebrows and I think he was a Scot.

The mother was blonde and her acting was quite believable - felt sorry for her really, cos she suffered for the other 'actors' shortcomings IMO.

And the father, well, he continues to advertise Picture Loans every five minutes.

Hmmm, it's ringing a bell now.
Got it!

....they were from Brigadoon!
And they've disappeared again for the next hundred years until Brigadoon reappears from the mist!

Seriously, they were given a bit of a poisoned chalice, I suppose. I mean, they were never allowed out of that room which looked like a sauna, and they didn't really have very much to do, so, I feel a bit sorry for them, really.

Viv and Vic were going through a rocky period so they may have split anyway.

Blurb about Soapstars.

The action centers around an eventful holiday in Blackpool where lovers Phil (Mark Jardine) and Maggie (Dee Whitehead) finally break the news of their affair to their families. Emotions are high as their partners come to terms with the news, and children Jess (Ruth Abram), Craig (Jason Hain) and Lucy (Elspeth Brodie) prepare themselves for their new lives in Emmerdale.

The only ones who seem to have done anything else are Mark Jardine and Jason Hain.

That proves what an impression they made - I didn't remember that there were two daughters!!!!!!

The main thing I remember about them was the sauna they lived in.

I remember them turning up in the Village, but can't really remember any of their storylines, how long they stayed or how they left ... doesn't say much about the family, does it?

It is usually the case, when they bring a full family in, that they don't last long. I mean by that a mother, father and kids. The Marsdens, Cairns, MCaslisters and Soapstar family all had pretty much the same impression and all of them didn't last long. The Reynolds were a bit more succesful. The last 'family unit' that actually lasted were the Hopes. With other families, like Diannes/Val/Rodney's extended family came in it in bit and pieces so there was continuity. It seems to be hard to make an impact when a whole family comes in at once. I am not counting the Tates. Kings and Sinclairs as their family dynamics are different.

The Glovers were quite successful, but they've all gone a long time ago.

When you say Hope do you mean Bob, Dawn etc or the Windsor clan evolving? The Windsors have been there a while, apart from a few head changes!

No. Unsurprisingly they did nothing.

Isn't he the one who provides him with a false alibi when The Scrote is up to no good. Does Billy Hopwood know he has twins
