It says in the Mail on Sunday today that Darcey Bussell is to swap her ballet pumps for dancing heels. The 37 year old Prima Ballerina is due to retire from the Royal Ballet this summer and has been approached to appear in SCD and negotiations are at a final stage according to source."The BBC has been after her for a while but she's always said no because of her ballet commitments".Darcey's decision to take on more dancing comes despite the fact that she is giving up ballet in a bid to avoid further damage to her body. After years of performing punishing routines, she has been told she will probably need a hip replacemant.
When the article writer bumps into Darcey at a DanceEast fundraiser she told her "It's true.I'm not retiring fully and that I have another dance project, although I can't say anything about it yet."

Now if Darcy agrees to do it can we all agree she has an advantage!

I thought that too dippydozzy!

However on the same page it has a bit about Patrick Kielty and Prince William and the writer quotes Paddy as saying he'd never met Prince Wiliam and Kate Middleton before.I know for a fact that Paddy has met Prince William as he ran beside him in Sport Relief in 2004 and has spoken of it in TV interviews so whether the Darcey thing is true I am now not sure!

Apparently Patrick Baladi has been asked twice, and would consider it - if you don't know who he is - Neil from The Office who did the Saturday Night Fever routine

I think I'd like that!

Not the big bloke from the office though - I wouldn't like that!

Yeah she'd have the advantage, but I'm sure we'd get some fantastic dancing!

Which pro do you think will get Darcy if she does do the show?

At the moment I'm thinking Ian

Me too mainly because of height. Matthew Cuttler though he's quite tall I think they'd make a good couple.

Just thinking that they might be looking at Darcey Bussell in a judging role.

Would she be qualified? Ballet is hugely different

Really? I don't think I like the sound of that I'd rather see Darcy dance. Would she be replacing someone? Or do you think she'd just be an extra judge?
If they should get another judge then it should be Karen Hardy, however even then I'd still prefer to see her dancing.

I can't see them changing any of the judges, they are an important part of the show now.

But it's still a dance background. Remember Denise went to ballet lessons on Arlene's advice on improve technique and improving body line. And didn't Carol Smillie also head to ballet class last series

And let's not forget Bruno did himself no favours last series with his cheerleading antics

Yeah but he's always done it - you have to assume they like that about him!

If only he realised it does his favourites no good at all!

I'm sure Craig wouldn't be sorely missed...

Oh Nooo! Craig all is forgiven! (except for the AT thats gonna take a bit longer. )

Actually Craig grew on me a bit last series. At least he criticises when it's warranted. Remember he had a go at Emma and Louisa when it was needed. Arlene needs to stay because her personality and remarks are one of the highlights. Remember her "I just want raw sex" remark. Len has to stay because he brings technical expertise. Bruno, well his impartiality is in question to say the least

Yeah but Craig gave a 5 for Marks Jive and Rumba? That was a bit harsh. 6 for Matts V.W was harsh too.

Just out if interest what was it that made Bruno exclaim bulls**t in the earlier part of the series I just can't remember.
