28 Mar 2012 for Mendip (COM muxes)
Looking at the database again, the 28 Mar 2012 at Mendip is now marked a COM power up date not a retune date. However Mux A becomes post-DSO SDN in 8k mode on that date, so I'm not sure what receivers will do about that without retuning.
All commercial multiplexes go to their final UHF allocations on 27 Sept 201, but the power restrictions are not lifted until March 2012, e.g. at the moment Arq B is limited to 26kW ERP.

OFCOM have updated several transmitter guides, which contains the most detailed breakdown of relay transmitter information.

At the moment Anglia, Central and STV Central have been updated, and the Northern Ireland (UTV) one has been released for the first time.

Please see the relevant regions' switchover thread in this sub-forum for more information, or the Ulster post-DSO transmitter and UHF channel thread for Northern Ireland.

A spokesperson for UTV (one of the directors) has just confirmed on UTV live that switchover in the province will start in the middle of next year (June ?) and will be completed by the end of 2012.

Not sure if he was referring to the Ofcom report above or a new one.

The UK Free date of March 31st for Divis does seem somewhat pessimistic.

UTV will not start Switchover until the last half of 2012 because of the Olympics and the Tyne Tees Switchover around September 2012,
it is very unlikely to be an earlier date than this, we just have to wait and see after the announcement has been made

What on Earth has the olympics got to do with it ?

and the Tyne Tees Switchover around September 2012,
or Tyne Tees DSO.

I wouldn't have thought Tyne Tees would have been even remotely a problem for NI

Main issue is probably integration with the Republic's DSO and plans for an extra (RTE) Mux on some NI transmitters.

Yep, think that's probably correct Tony.

I gather we know who the DSO manager is now, according to Boards.ie (former Ofcom chief in NI apparently, although it hasn't been officially confirmed yet) but still no definite announcement of the DSO timetable in the province, or exact details of the RTE mini mux.

Switchover in the Tyne Tees region begins 12 September 2012.

All three transmitter groups (Bilsdale, Chatton and Pontop Pike) will switch at the same time according to the latest data from Digital UK.

Stage 2 takes place on 26th September 2012, when Freeview HD will be available across the whole region for the first time.

Just a slight amendment as Oxford is halfway between stages.

Although the dates aren't expected until spring next year (coverage of the timetable will follow), Digital UK's postcode database now shows the transmitters affected by the 800 MHz clearance, including Waltham, Tacolneston, Mendip and Wenvoe. Check it out in the trade view part of the Digital UK postcode database and see if you're affected.
