West Runton will be good to go active. Will these transmitters receive the full Freeview coverage? Guess I'll have to sort out an engineer in two years time to reposition my aerial.

Generally, all small relay transmitters that don't carry Freeview now will only carry the 3 PSB multiplexes after switchover (BBC, D3&4 and PSB HD).

Fremont Point is now confirmed for Nov 2010. The Channel Islands are getting freeview 3 years earlier than originally scheduled.

This is probably because of the French switchover. Nord-Cotentin (Cherbourg) is switching in November 2009, but only covers about 200,000 homes.

Basse-Normandie (1st quarter 2010), Picardie (4th quarter 2010), Nord (4th quarter 2010), although Nord will affect SE England, not the Channel Islands! And the SE has to wait until 2012 of course.

Does anybody know how long it will be after switch over until the strength of the signal on some of the lower powered muxes will be increased?

Where I live, some of the muxes are on very low power.

And if Leeds United had not qualified for Europe but their games clashed with the likes of Man U and Arsenal being shown on ITV1 I may still be dithering over getting myself converted.

Goto www.ukfree.tv enter your transmitter name in the search. Follow the link to the UKfree transmitter page. It will give you all the details you want. Generally power increases take place at the same time the analogue channels are switched off.

Just a small comment, but I'm pretty sure my Welsh region is called Preseli, not Preseley. The transmitter is on the Preseli Mountains.

That's the list for the channel/station FR3 only although I'm sure all the other channels/MUXES will be switched over at about the same time at each relevant transmitter?

I have one of these, although don't use it much anymore. I believe it supports 8k mode so it should be OK - maybe there is someone in an area that has switched off that could confirm it though?

Can someone move this thread out of the freeview forum in to the Terrestrial technical section as it sounds more technical and it is to do more with transmitters rather than the freeview service.

Thanks

The BBC has for the first time published the full DTT Transmitter Timetable on its website, in region alpha order
http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/transmitters/dso.shtml
If you are on a relay, just find the appropriate main transmitter from the list.
