I can't say I follow her career all that closely but I did think that Northern Star was a surprisingly solid album with some great tracks on it. I heard stuff from her most recent album and quite liked it, though not as much as her previous songs. I'd be interested to hear her new song.

Yep, same song. I've heard worse cover versions in the past.

Melanie C has a great voice and she does have a lot of fans, here and in Eurpe- including myself. All her albums are fantastic and different. I can't wait for her next album to be out in the spring!!

I don't want Mel !

I agree. I love her music, but I Want Candy is not one of her better songs. She fares better when she does stuff that is a little more serious and emotional like the stuff on the Sea. Not sure she does this kind of humorous "fun" music that well.
I'm hoping we can get another album from her soon. I would like to see her work with Ariel Reichtshaid who has produced for Madonna, Haim, Skye Ferreira, Charli XCX and Brandon Flowers. That would be a match made in heaven!

I love a bit of Mel C. I Want Candy is probably her weakest moment to be honest, but she does deserve more success.

Favorite album being 'Beautiful Intentions'. 'You'll Get Yours' is worth the price of that album alone - gorgeous track. I loved 'The Sea' too. I didn't mind 'This Time', but always thought it sounded a bit cheap production wise.

I'm not usually one for dwelling on the past, but no matter what anybody says about Mel C... 'Northern Star', 'Never Be the Same Again' and 'I Turn To You' remains one of the best run of successive singles released by any artist ever as far as i'm concerned! Perfection

I did like Mel more at the beginning of her solo career, those three singles mentioned above and the Bryan Adams duet are fantastic songs.

Still like her voice but not a huge fan of her more recent material. Candy is a bit of a guilty pleasure though lol

Yes, I really love Beautiful Intentions too. I also agree This Time is probably her weakest. It's a little too bland and MOR for me.

I like quite a lot of Melanie's stuff, mostly away from the Spice Girls. That said, I am about to have to commit to whether I prefer Who Do You Think You Are? or Loving You!
