Joe Macers death-Eastenders
Joe died a week ago after falling out of the window, how come nobody has mentioned it? I dont think anyone has talked about the fact that hes dead, if the police are investigating, and if theres a funeral. Also does Bert even know yet??? its so strange how nothing has been said about it!

Yeah it seems a common thing in soaps.. someone dies and no one talks about it!!

I agree. I would have thought that there would have at least been a scene with Bert where he was upset over the death but there has been nothing at all.

Perhaps everyone in Albert Square is just used to seeing all these deaths, its become more of a routine for them now:
1. Wake up 2. Go to work 3. Have a drink in the Vic 4. Find a dead body 5. Go to bed Just your average day I suppose.

It was headlines in the newspapers the next day so perhaps that is all they are going to do about it- Havent seen Bert for a few weeks either! Perhaps he is grieving in private!

It annoys me when soaps do this, whats the point in having a major storyline with someone dying when they abandon it half way through? Wouldn't take much for them to have a scene with Bert or a funeral.

doesnt say much that i hadnt even noticed bert wasnt about...where is he? I know hes got an upcoming storyline but surley like everyone is saying Joes death will hit him hard-after the wifes anyway....weird how there was noone even bothered by Joes death-it was dramatic too! Everyone is grieving in silence for Mr Benn....

Yes it annoys me aswell the fact that Bert wasn't even in EE this week, he was Joe's best friend, and he didn't even get a scene

It is very unrealistic, they should have had atleast a scene with Bert grieving struggling to cope with Joe's death and a reaction from the Square as a whole.

I just like the way he confessed to Dot... not the police and was therefore tagged as a murderer from that. I suppose if they belived Dot last time they will believe her again!

Ah, but after Dot had dialled 999, the phone was connected, so the whole incident would have been broadcast to the operator. And there's always the fact that the writers can be very lazy when it suits them.

The whole departures of pauline, martin and sonia seemed rushed and unreal.

Agreed. As if Martin could pack up all his stuff in a matter of minutes, and then happen to catch the cab Sonia is in!

Not only Joe, I mean when Jake left the Square - not one person in the vic had noticed that Jake had left either
