Don't be ridiculous.

Is that your only form of defense? Somebody makes a valid point and you just say they are being ridiculous.

It's not a valid point. It's a ridiculous point.

I have no doubt her English is better than my Russian but what has that got to do with it please?

I am not putting myself forward to be a jusge on a prime time TV show in Russia am I?

And she doesn't communicate well for that purpose. I am sure it's fine on a one to one basis. I am also pretty sure she will improve if given the chance. If you look at my original post I stated that. I never questioned her ability to judge the skating.

She was not credible last night. People were talking over her and laughing a bit (embarressed for her I suspect).

She needs to get better to be a judge on THAT show, and I hope she is geting help from the show bause as I have said plenty times, I like her and hope she stays.

Now you, reflect on your posts and don't be so quick to be confrontational without actually reading the thread.

I thought that was just rude.

Why?

The crowd don't laugh over the other judges?

I get the impression that people want her to be good, but laugh to hide their discomfort. It's not an unusual reaction. Look it up.

Why do you have to be so rude and defensive?

Can't you argue your point politely? You'll get a lot more respect that way, and people might try a little harder to see your point of view.

Thank you . Nice to see some people think about their posts. Certain people have no idea how to respond, but I am not going to lose any sleep over it and ignore posts that are confrontational.

There is a simple explanation for that, it's called ignorance

Nicky Slater and Karen Barber are (retired) medal-winning British skaters. They were also ice-dance partners for a while.

Karen Barber/Nicky Slater followed T & D as British champions and competed up to the 1988 winter olympics. They won 1 bronze medal at the 1983 European Championships at Dortmund when T & D did not compete. Their best placing at World Championships came in 1986 at Gothenburg

I find that post confusing. You agree with my point, that it rude to laugh, and only over Natalia.

Then you start yet more animosity towards me?

Oh come on, give me a break. This is not kindergarden.

Is it because I said "Look it up"? That is the same as being told to search online for a judges name before posting about them?

You've got to have a thicker skin round here.

But since we're chatting - I must admit that those people who have jumped in explaining the names of teh other judges and why they are are cheered me up no end!!!

Actually no, she isn't. She's been a very serious artist for over 25 years. The ITV Production Team and Holly tried to paint her as a "maneater" in the vein of Arlene on SCD, but in reality, she's nothing like that. It's a great shame she's so mocked, and not given time to speak, they shouldn't have invited her if they were intending to do this, and should've stuck with Kres.

When she was skating Natalya had a very lively bubbly personality, but it's amazing that if you are not in your performing environment how reserved you can be

She's not a maneater. O.K she admitted that liked Lee's bodyline but that comment was taken out of context

anyone know why kres was replaced?

I think she's great casting, she's different from anyone else on TV, she gets her opinions over and it's her marks that count. So her English is a bit wonky, I find her unique, charming and entertaining.

Yes you are right he does always rush her - Natalia.....Natalia.......as if she hasn't heard him.........he is probably getting pressure from the producers to move things along but they don't seem to worry when he takes his interminable time over the results (again I know thats the producers fault)

I like Phillip on the whole but he also never seems to glance at Holly when they are standing together but she is always taking a peek at him when he is reading the autocue - maybe he wishes he had Fern there instead ?

Actually - thats a different point of view and I like it. It makes more sense that way because no matter how often people say otherwise, last week she was difficult to understand. But unique, charming and entertaining she most certainly is,
