Bonnie only looked good because of her dance knowledge. She couldn't skate for toffee! Clare has no dance experience and she is far better than Lisa who has!

Clare may have no dance experience but her sister loves ice skating, so its not like she will have never put on a pair of skates before.

Bonnie wasn't that good, she was small so Matt could lift and throw her around a lot.

Lisa is overrated I think, and doesn't sell the routines very well.

Yeah, I've been away from SCD a while, though I did see the reply to your email, and a few other bits and bobs. I seem to have lost the SCD swing now its been over 2 months, but still can't wait for it to start again.

Thanks for your help with the SCD 5 wishlist. I emailed the Beeb with it and got a response from James Kelly (BBC Information) saying he was most interested with our views and advice re contestants.

What do you reckon. Genuine/Usual Tosh they come out with

I'll pass judgment on that in October.

I don't think Bonnie would have been given such high marks this series. Her lack of skating skills would have been much more obvious.

Bonnie wasn't the best skater, but IMO she presented herself very well, which made her good to watch. She didn't look nervous like some of the others did (Gaynor, for example, always looked terrified to me).

I agree with the OP. Bonnie Langford was a poor skater and although the lifts looked impressive initially, they got stale and boring after a few weeks as it was clearly desperation. All she could do was be flung around because she is tiny.
I remember my husband commenting on how he only watched it to see her get her head smashed against the ice for the umpteenth time! I cannot bear her and was glad she did not win as it would have been a travesty in a SKATING competition. she did look more confident than the others but I believe that is because she listened to her own hype and thought she would win hands down. Nope. And if she had I'd have scweemed and scweeemed until I was sick.
